Message from Headteacher – Mr. Steve Down

At Bushmead we have built a friendly and welcoming place of learning. We take pride in our warm and positive atmosphere believing that happy children make good learners. We are firm advocates of valuing children for who they are, in addition to what they achieve. We feel it is just as important to praise effort as well as results!

Our school encourages a ‘can do attitude’ of community and mutual respect, whilst treating each child as an individual learner. It is our belief that every child who joins Bushmead has the right to feel inspired to fulfil their potential leaving us ready to take on the challenges of Secondary school and life? 
 

Our Mission

We strive to deliver an experience rich education that ensures all children are academically ready for secondary school. Our curriculum is designed around children’s interests to excite, inspire and challenge through real life experiences as well as excellence in staff teaching practices. Governors, parents, staff and children work together to ensure we live our READY, RESPECTFUL and SAFE values. We encourage a nurturing culture which allows children to dream, and have the aspiration to become the best they can in life.
